2 1/2 yrs ago I photographed Baby C's Mom and Dad on their wedding day. I was honored that they made the drive from Ashcroft to have me take part in Cassie's photos. We sort of did this shoot in two parts, he was wide awake for the first have then mom and dad took him for 5 loops around the block and he slept somewhat for the second half.

This one in the box the top I think might just be my favorite baby photo.

It has been months since I updated my blog and for that I am truely sorry. Seems I get to updating my facebook albums more then my blog. With all the social media surrounding advertising it can become a chore to remember all of them. SO, I am posting the name to my fanpage on facebook. I ALWAYS upload to there first before I go anywhere else, then like I said I tend to forget about my blog.

I had the honour of photographing this couple today... I have known Kim for more then a few years, as we went to high school together. She also happens to be my Travel Agent!

The weather could not have been better today. The sun was out, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Yes it was a little chilly, but everyone hung there for the few hours we were outside.

With winter just around the corner the day could not have been better. Sunny & 11 degrees out in fact. Nana & Grandad came out to get in on the action as well, which was great. I first photographed this family about 5 years ago when I was first starting out and I can tell you I had alot of fun with them today. Everyone was having fun and I managed to capture the true sense of their family. I hope you all enjoy your sneak peak as much as I do and I look forward to showing your the rest.

I had the pleasure to spend some time with this Family at Graduation this past May. I spent a bit of time photographing the family in a very high class state. I was asked by the girls to do a shoot for their mom's birthday. Our first appointment was cancelled due to weather and after yesterday's wind I thought for sure we would have to reschedule again. But wow what a day, it was awesome outside. When the girls were little they had their picture taken with a bunch of flowers in front of them, so we recreated a photo similar to what they did back then. But since I had them together we did an entire shoot of the two of them together. Could be the last time for awhile as M will be heading to University next year and H not far behind.

Thank-You ladies.... it was fantastic! So here are a few to hold you over the next few weeks.

M & D are an adorable couple who travelled up here from Cloverdale to M's Grandparents summer cabin on the South side of Canim Lk. Even though the total temperature outside was 11 degrees celcius and we were sitting on a rain covered ground, I captured some amazing images of the two of them. Their love for one another radiates out of them and it was a pleasure to work with them. I cannot wait for next August when I shoot their wedding.

I hope you both love the photos as much as I do......can't wait to get the rest out to you...

R & S - Sept 18, 2010. - 108 Hills Health & Guest Ranch Wedding

R & S were fantastic to work with, We started the afternoon with the ceremony which took place at the 105 Mile Baptist Church off Hwy 97. From here we took the family, Bridal party and formals of the Bride & Groom up at the 108 Hills Health & Guest Ranch. The weather was wonderful, with a bit of the Fall chill in the air and overcast skies I was able to capture some amazing images. We had to hike off the beaten path to get Fall foliage but it was worth it if I dont' say so myself.

And THIS... LOVE it even more....

Yes I love to peak through bushes and trees but I love the result that you get from the idea.

Ok and THIS is another one of my favorites. We really had to walk a little ways for this one. Down a gravel path in flat dress shoes and High heel wedding shoes is not an easy task. Not sure who was going to have to catch who walking down this path. Once we were down there we had to deal with the prickle bushes, which I am still picking out of my socks! The sun was on its way down and this little grove of trees really captures the time time of year. One word: STUNNING!

K & N Lac La Hache Wedding - August 28th, 2010

K & N married in K's home town of Lac La Hache, BC. Nothing was going right for Nicki & Kris weeks leading up to their wedding. Between the weather and all their cancellations N was close to running away. When the day finally came, the weather could not have been more beautiful! They were married lake side, were escorted by some very old vehicles, were surrounded by Friends and Family and we beat the rain at the end of the day. Our photos were taken on site at the ceremony location as well as the 108 Stables. We were just finishing up when the thunder and rain clouds were headed our way and I was able to capture two amazing shots of the two of them. Their 3 yr old son Camron stole my heart throughout the day, what a little Character. N's jewellery was vintage and absolutley stunning, N also made all the flower arrangements & added her own bead detail to her dress .

T & T - August 21, 2010 - Sheridan Lake Resort

After travelling from Surrey T & T were married in an environment that suited their personalities. It was very rustic and alot of fun. From the ring bear caring the rings on a fishing rod to leaving the alter on quads this wedding had it all. Even the cake resembled a Mountain.

I Love this picture of the two of you, too bad we didn't have the ducks in the background that decided to show up.

It was still quite smokey from all the fires burning in the Cariboo so I took advantage of it.

T & R Wedding - August 7, 2010

Words cannot say how thrilled I was to photograph this wedding. I had done the couples engagement photos a few months back and it had been nearly 25 yrs or so since I last saw the Groom. To be apart of his and his new wife's day was truely on honor. Not only was I able to spend the entire day with them, I also got to see his mom and dad, Brother Ryan, Grandma, Aunt's & Uncles. It was a bit of a reunion in a way. The ceremony took place at the St.Andrews Church in Williams Lake. Not a couple days prior to the wedding the smoke from all the wild fires burning in the Cariboo made it almost impossible to breath outdoors, BUT Mother Nature smiled upon us and brought us some rain. RAIN!!!! wow it rained when it came time to photos, We made a decision and went to the Tourist Information House which is amazing. If you have never stopped in there I highly suggest you do. We were able to capture some fun moments in there and then the sun poked its head out and we finished outdoors. The reception was one of a kind, T & R had a costume corner set up and guests were asked to dress up and have fun with it. Not sure who had more fun the Adults or the Chidlren?

T & M - Heritage Site Wedding July 24, 2010

The weather couldn't have been better for T&M on their Wedding Day. The emotions between these two were running just as high as the temperature was outside. T & M came back to T's home town to celebrate their love for one another infront of friends and family.

I always like to give the Bride and Groom and sneak peak of their photos, just a little something to let's say 'Wet their lips with'. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

This is right up there with my favorites..... Deka Lake was the location for the ceremony so we stuck around with the wedding party before heading off to our other locations. The yellow flowers really give this photo the WOW factor.

I decided to go old school with this shot, reminded me of something from the old west days.

Darrell Blades of the 100 Mile Fire Department was kind enough to come in and bring the new fire truck out. Brock is a Fireman in Calgary so it was very fitting to use it.

A little peek through the bars of the truck. I love the look in your eyes Kayla.....

Again, my favorite..... this shot was taken in between the cab of the truck and the back tank part of the truck. The checkerboard really catches the light in just the right way.

I was expecting Emilee next week with her mom and dad, but got a little surprise when they showed up at my door. It all worked out and I got some great shots for them to remember how delicate and precious she was when she first enriched their lives.....

I have been dying to use this prop for its true purpose and the last few babies havn't fit in it right, well I must say that this little peanut did.

Who would have thought the weather would have turned out as great as it did. It has rained for 2 weeks straight and today it coulnd't have been nicer.

This was directly after the ceremony and I loved the sky in this one. The ceremony took place in a field and it was right up my alley as far as 'props' go... There was plenty of old buildings, a Hay field, old fences and then the river with the old bridge. This is my 4th wedding out that way and I love it out there.

Seems like only yesterday that I was doing the same thing with my girlfriends.... GRADUATION!!!! I was honored to be invited into Shannon and Mark's home to photograph this milestone in their daughters life. After I was done with them I got to go to Prom and photograph all the grad's with their dates. I know my 6 yr old is going to die when she sees how beautiful all the girls were this evening....

All I can say is there is someone for everyone... Adrian and Rachel travelled many miles to be together. Adrian uprooted and moved from England to be with his true love.

During the ceremony it rained but then it opened up just long enough to capture some amazing moments between the two of them.
One word... stunning! I have photographed at the 108 Hills Health & Guest Ranch many times but this is the first time I have been able to use this tree to it's full potential.

These two little flower girls made me smile! The older sister came up to me and asked if I could take her and her sisters picture in the flowers laid on the ground. It was in my plan to do this after we had done the family photos, but because she asked me we did it right away. It was so cute! I love the wings!

Three hands are always better then two when it comes to getting into a wedding gown.

When in need of a sewing kit and one is not available, what more can you do??? Well, these two ladies are quite the seamstress's... nothing alittle double sided tape and a safety pin won't fix.

I just love this picture.. Rachel you looked so beautiful.

This little head piece added just the right touch.

Lastly... the flowers, the flowers were amazing. Done by The Purple Pansy based out of Williams Lake. Kristy and her team did an outstanding job.

This one is my favorite. I had a bowl to go with it, but he was awake so there was no way we could get him scrunched up inside of it. But I still love it.

He is so precious! Love his nose. Normally I say toes, but today it was his nose.

Another of my favorites, definetly a wall photo for the bathroom.

Tee hee, even though half of his legs seem to have disappeared, I like it non the less.

With Amanda's due date just around the corner and I mean literally around the corner (tomorrow) her excitement is radiating. Along with her husband Jason they are about to embark on a life changing journey with one another and I am happy to be a part of that journey.

Jason is an Arts Teacher so I thought I would do alittle something that reflected his lifestyle.

Ray & Randi travelled all the way from Texas to be married in the presence of Randi's Family. What I love of this set of photos is how much emotion the two of them put

into it and each other.

When I left the cake wasn't out yet so I snuck into the kitchen and photographed it in the box.

It was beautiful.... I have to ask Randi, .....who made it for you?

We went down to the Heritage Site for photos and the backdrop couldn't be more

fitting for this couple and the theme of their wedding.

There is an interesting little story behind this Engagement session.... When I was first contacted by Trevor I was so excited to do there wedding photos, Trevor and I used to play together when we were little kids and I had not seen him since we were probably 7 yrs old. When Raeyane chose the Engagement location it couldn't be more fitting for their photos. This old historical building used to be her Grandma's. It was a very cold day but the two of them made the best of it. After seeing Trevor it made me feel like I was in a time warp, he hasn't changed a bit. These two are going to be so much fun on their wedding day and it will be great to spend the day with them and the rest of their family and see some more faces I have not seen in over 20 years.

I have come to the conclusion that I must fire up the heat when my little newbies come to see me even more then I already do now. The last two shoots, both babies were wide awake!! Your suppose to sleep. Lol! This little girl is such a sweatheart and I cannot wait to photograph the whole family together with her.

I guess you could say I was going through baby withdrawals when I got in touch with Cole's mommy.... I photographed this little guy today who is just 2 weeks old. He was very awake and moving around like crazy. I really wanted to try out my new ear touque that friend had made for me as well as a cacoon that I ordered off of ebay. You forget how precious they are when they are this age. Thanks for bringing Cole in to see me!

At just 16 years old Kourtney is pursuing her dream of modelling.... Kourtney first came and seen me about 4 months ago for her first shoot, I am amazed at how far she has come since then.. From how much more comfortable she is infront of the camera, to the way she presents herself is truely something to be proud of. I believe that Kourtney has a fabulous future ahead of her in anything she decides to do. I look forward to working with her again very soon...

I couldn't decide which photos to post from this shoot because there was just so many great shots to choose from, this could be a great one for the front of your invitation..... So natural and I love the surroundings. I am really looking forward to working with this couple on their wedding day.

Usually this tree is un - reachable with so many prickles and burrs... needless to say I was covered in burrs after I was done down here. This whole time I also thought this tree was in the swamp. All this beautiful weather has it advantages.

108 Heritage Site is such a great place to capture the beauty of the cariboo as it is now and what it was in the 1920's.

Love how the red brick wall adds so much contrast and depth to this photo.

Even though it was freezing cold we managed to sneak outside for 30 min.

So pretty....

I love this shot Amanda, I think this is what you had invisioned when you hired me and it looks amazing.

This was a unique little arbour made by Krisity Novakowski of The Purple Pansy. It was intertwined together and it was nice having a touch of outdoors indoors.

Family Fun - Portraits in the park Oct 4, 2009

I love this rock formation just down from the falls. It has been awhile since I have got to photograph two brothers infront of it just hanging out.

Even though it is the month of October it would never know it.... things are just starting to turn color and it is getting cold really fast. We were fortunate enough to have decent weather during our time together.

A rose between to thorns.... or is the other way around?? Tracey and Ian you and your family were alot of fun and I cannot wait to show you more. Especially the kissy kissy on the bridge.

Branden & Jen - October 3, 2009~ Love at the Lake

I travelled to Big Lake (Just outside of Williams Lake ) this past weekend for Branden & Jen's Wedding. It turned out to be a beautiful fall day, despite what Jen had heard the day before. It was alittle on the chilly side but for the most part it was perfect.

This was pretty much the only spot that symbolized that it was actually the Fall season. Everywhere else was till pretty much green.

Branden & Jen told me about this little Heritage Site just down from her parents place....

It was such a unique little spot and had so much character. With the textures of the wood and all the old farm equipment, we spent a bit of time in this location.

I loved what this tree symbolized to me.... see how the trunk is all twisted together and wrapped around one another? That is exactly what true love is all about, being able to grab it, hold it and twist it into your hearts..... Corny, I know but it is very fitting don't you think.

Sage & Jamie... the flower girls. Anita & Jeff you have two beautiful daughters. Thanks for being so great all day and toughing it out! See you at school.

Don't worry dad, you didn't give her away... she is just on lend for a very long time.

Ha, ha.... While I was busy photographing the Bride's family, the Best Man was doing his best to warm up the Maid of Honor and the girls. I managed to get a quick shot off

before they seperated.

I had to make use of Fall trees where I could, this was just outside the Church doors.

I'm a girl who loves details...

Only in the Cariboo can it be sunny one minute and raining the next. Here is a glimpse at how wet the guests were, but everyone toughed it out. It looks like the Father of the Bride got the worst of it.

I have to say this was one the most unique places I have been too for a wedding. Located in between Cache Creek and Clinton this little Ranch (Hat Creek Ranch) had everything. The ceremony took place in an apple orchard... need I say more....

I love this effect in a barn door opening. I especially love this one because you can see the other barn through the doors and you can also see bits and pieces of horse tackle and gear.

The Groom's (Kyle) height on the Bride (Christine) also gives this photo an amazing effect.

Peak -A- Boo through the apple tree. Yes, for those of you who have peaked on here beforem you've seen this photo from previous weddings and it is one of favorites of the year so far. There has been so many unique trees lately that I cannot resist.

Jumping photos are so geniune. You cannot fake a smile when you jump. The expressions and the looks that come out of these shots are hilarious.

Awwee... yes kids at a wedding. They are so cute, but when they have had enough they have had enough. What a beautiful family Kyle & Christine have created.

This is the perfect spot to hold a smaller wedding: The Hills Health and Guest Ranch, from the little chapel to the gardens to the unique layout of land it truely is a great location.

This big rock is one of my favorite spots. By the looks of it a romantic one at that!

Who doesn't like bubbles.......

All I could smell during the hours I was with Mike & Chelsea were the

Lillies in Chelsea's bouguet.

Some say the object of capturing a couple infront of a sunset is to be able to see the couple and the sunset... I on the other hand, took a different appoach with this couple and made them part of the sunset....and the result...... I think is amazing.!

We all love our brothers, lets face it.... but when they both try to kiss you at the same time... well it can be a little disgusting; According to Stephanie anways.... (I thought you would love it Stephanie, I figured it would make you laugh out loud)

We had a strip of water and sand to work with at her parents house. The house has alot of history in the fact that Stephanie's dad grew up in the house. I had said to the Bride and Groom, "Only in the Cariboo can I as a photographer get away with making you sit, lay and stand in the grass, sand and dirt. It all pays off!!

Stephanie you are one organized Bride.... from your handmade scrapbook / guest book to the 1000 orgamy swans strung up behind the headtable you didn't forget a thing. I cannot wait to show you more but for now it's just a peak.

We had to tell Hunter there was a Deer in the tree for him to look up.

Martina & Greg were married on Martina's parents Resort at Canim Lake, they travelled all the way from Calgary to carry on the tradition as her sisters before her had done. I cannot wait for you two to see all the photos, from stormy skies to not a cloud in the sky your photos catch it all.

This little structure was on the neighbours property. It was built in 1930 and it reminded

me of the midevil days. I would love to photograph back in those days!

Who doesn't love daisies.... it was such a great little corner of the resort, but the mosquitoes were insane. However, a little sacrifice was worth it.
